Merry Back to the Lost Ark Christmas

I know it’s only September, but the temperatures are starting to drop (they’re finally under three digits here in the AZ, woohoo!) so that means fall is on it’s way. And with fall comes a holiday I love, Thanksgiving! I’ve already started a board on Pinterest for my Thanksgiving plans. I love the food and the planning and of course spending time with family remembering our blessings.

I have also trying to get my ISBN numbers but I’m having some issues with Bowker and my account so it looks like it’s going to take me a bit longer to get them. I’m also still waiting for my cover designer to finish my cover. Then my book will be ready to publish. Eek! It’s so exciting I can hardly stand it!

And in case you’re wondering what I’ve been doing with all my free time since I’m no longer planning the fellas’ Harry Potter party night and day. I have been doing a lot of reading. Like, a lot of reading. It’s been nice to get the time to do some reading. And I can’t stress it enough how much reading an author should do. I think it’s absolutely necessary. Not only does reading creative work help inspire creativity, it also shows you what works and what doesn’t when it comes to stories and writing. It helps that reading has always been one of my favorite things to do.

I’ve also gone through The Maladroit for last minute edits and formatting fixes. I’ll be taking the free version down soon and replacing it with some links and what not for Writing Piazza Press just to make things more official. šŸ™‚ Oh, and as a side project, I’ve been dabbling with a Christmas play I think would be fun to do with the kids at my church. It’s a littleĀ Back to the Future meetsĀ RaidersĀ of the Lost Ark and a whole lotta Christmas all mixed in, so like Merry Back to the Lost Ark or something. LOL It probably won’t happen (at least maybe not this year) but I love to write and produce plays so it’s nice to be playing around with them again. I’ll keep you posted if anything comes of it. It’d be cool to have it put into production and then offer a video link so you all could see it. Or maybe I just think it would be cool, haha.

I’ve also been working on author interviews (if you missed last week’s interview with Gregor Collins you really need to go read it, his story is so amazing and I can’t wait to read his book) and getting new resource articles for all of you wonderful TWPeeps (it’s what I’m calling you now, it’s a new word based off the name of this site and the slang peeps and it’s synonomous with people so awesome that you have to invent a new word just to show how awesome).

And I’m getting super excited as the deadline for our second writing contest grows nearer. I can’t wait to read the stories you all have come up with! Remember, the deadline isĀ September 16th at 12:00 a.m. PST so get those fingers moving. I expect sensational works from many, many of you! And remember it’s for a good cause. If you’d like to see the rules again, click HERE to read the details.

That should get you all caught up on my life. I hope the rest of your week is just as fantastic as you TWPeeps are, bonus points if you come up with a better name than TWPeeps. šŸ˜‰

Until we meet again.
