Join TWP Community for Free Writing Help

Hello, hello, hello my jubilant TWPeeps! I know it’s been a while since my last missive, and for that I am truly sorry. But I come bearing some wonderful news! I am excited to announce some of the changes coming to The Writing Piazza, including even more writing help and resources.

I mentioned before that we are switching gears just a bit here in order to help more authors along their writing journeys. What this means for all practical purposes, is that you will be hearing less about my journey alone and more from other writers and people in the writing industry.

Join TWP Community

writing help, TWP CommunityThe biggest addition, which I am super excited about, is that we have added some helpful videos just for the members of TWP community! We will continue to add new videos. Don’t miss out. Make sure you sign up today! These videos will talk about a bunch of different problems, questions, and situations that writers often find themselves facing. We will offer tips, suggestions, and instruction for meeting these things head on and emerging successful on the other side.

To sign up for all this fantastic writing help, just click the Join TWP Community . If you’re on a computer, you can also find the sign up on the right-hand side of the main blog page. It will be at the bottom of the main blog page on a mobile device. Just look for the box that says “Join TWP Community.”

Other Additions

The second addition is actually a person. That’s right, we are adding another “staff member” to our posse here on TWP. I wanted to take a moment to introduce him to you. You will be seeing quite a bit of him around here. He will be helping with the instructional videos and some resource articles. He’s also agreed to help with the editing for our latest endeavor – the Beagle Freedom Project Anthology.

So without further ado, I will let Darren take over and tell you a bit about himself.

Hello, people of TWP! I’m excited to be a part of the site and to help in creating some writing resources I hope you’ll enjoy.

As a short bio, I’m a full-time writer and editor. I write mostly short fiction, usually either literary or – if genre work – psychological horror. I’ve had seventeen stories published as well as two plays produced and a non-fiction book published. I am a freelance book editor for Evolved Publications and I write book reviews for the Eric Hoffer Book Award.

On occasion, I also narrate audiobooks for Audible, Inc. I am a huge fan of Scrivener, EverNote, and OneNote, but most days you’ll find me in a coffee shop or the library clicking away on my ’90s-era Alphasmart Word Processor.

I look forward to contributing articles as well as videos, and I am anxious to read entries for the Beagle Freedom Project Anthology.

Check out my website for more, www.darrentodd.net.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to sign up to join TWP Community if you haven’t already.

  • Is the Beagle Freedom Project still ongoing? Would you like me to still edit my previous story and send it in again as before? I know I’ve procrastinated doing it for far too long.

We revamped it so there’s now a deadline and there’s also a cash prize. You an check out the “call for submissions” link on the menu (for smart phones) or at the top of the home page (for computers) to get more details. Good luck!
